In 2007, the CDC released national statistics of people lacking insurance. The information came from interviews of more than 100,000 households across the nation. That study showed some unfortunate numbers.
According to the study, 43.6 million Americans, or 14.8%, did not have insurance in 2006. When broken down by state, Texas showed that 23.8% of residents were uninsured. The state of Texas had an uninsured rate 9% higher than the national average.
Unfortunately, things have not gotten better since 2006. If you need Texas health insurance, contact Option 1 or go to www.texashealthinsuranceoptions.com.
