Family health care insurance premiums rose between four and five-times faster that earnings from 2000 to 2009 for Texas workers. The findings were reported by the consumer advocacy group, Families USA.
According to the report, average annual health insurance premiums in the workplace increased from $6,638 to $12,721, while Texas workers’ average earnings rose from $23,032 to $27,573.
